This quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson sums up what I would like my life to be about. His words inspire me every day.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy.  It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”

As a therapist, I consider myself somewhat of a “wounded healer” who is a fellow traveller on the road toward healthy living.  It is a privilege to walk alongside others who desire to live a more wholehearted and authentic life.  I have a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Rhodes University. Further, I am a Certified Daring Way ™ Facilitator for Dr Brene Browns Daring Way ™ program.

I am trained in Narrative Therapy, and as such, I am interested in how our stories shape our lives and relationships.  In my practise, I strive to create a respectful, non-judgmental and safe space for you to explore your unique story and to move towards writing your own daring ending.

I am a Certified Daring Way ™ Facilitator.

This means, I am an experienced and highly trained professional who is authorized to offer in-person and virtual workshops using Brene Brown’s Daring Way ™ curriculum and exclusive teaching materials.

Brenes’ courses are designed to dig deep into the things that get in the way of living an authentic life. Using metaphors videos, practical exercises and group discussions, we’ll examine the thoughts, emotions and behaviours holding you back. We will explore new practises in your daily life that will help you move toward more authentic and wholehearted living.

If you’ve enjoyed any of Brené Brown’s books but have struggled to integrate her insights into your life, you’ll thoroughly enjoy the personalized and guided experience my workshops have to offer. My workshops offer opportunity for connection and personal growth in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere.

If groups make you feel uncomfortable and you’d prefer to explore any of the Daring Way ™ courses with one-on-one guidance.  I offer all of the Daring Way™ programs as personalized coaching/counselling experiences.  Programs may also be custom designed for a specific group or team.
